Urban Farming
Compost Technologies
REAP’s compost program is all about closed loops: using potential waste to support the land and those working on it. We use waste from our Regenerative Animal Agriculture Program and from our partners the Alameda Food Bank to make compost. This compost helps sustain our other programs such as the Food Forest and Permaculture Gardens. REAP’s compost program is a training ground for learning different compost practices and their benefits!
To keep out compost systems flowing, we need interested community members like you to learn, lead, and build compost with us! Join our community and work on behalf of your community.
There are 2 main ways to stay engaged:
Email List: We’ll keep you posted on what’s going on.
Guild: A little more hands on, a lot like a club!

REAP’s partnership with the Alameda Food Bank is a lovely closed loop: we get their spoiled compostables for our gardens, and we get to grow food to give back to them!
