Looking for a way your group can make a positive impact?

REAP Climate Center offers many ways for groups to engage

Join Regular Volunteer Days - Small Group or Individuals

For groups of less than 15 people, please join our twice-weekly volunteer days and open house. This is free, and no reservations are required, but a heads-up is nice, and we always appreciate donations. Come for as little or as long as you like.

Team Building Experience for 15 to 150 People

Enjoy impactful curated activities that help the REAP Climate Center achieve our biodiversity, climate, and community-driven mission. Groups are given options for various guided projects. Rates are flexible, and a sliding scale is outlined below. Recommended 3-hour minimum.

Adopt A Project to Call Your Own

Does your organization want to see a big-ish project all the way through? Maybe something that aligns with your mission? Or perhaps you want your different teams to come over time and all contribute to the same thing? Cross-team-team-building… The sky’s the limit, and we are happy to discuss the options.

What exactly will we be working on?

This is our most common question, and yet, it is still difficult to answer.

The REAP Climate Center is part science center, urban farm, makerspace, and a community place. The ongoing and ever-emerging list of projects and programs is vast. As such, the tasks vary depending on when you are coming, what has been completed in the months before, and how many people are in your group.

We also want to pair your group with what aligns with your interests and values. We broadly encompass 22 impact categories. Consider this list of general activities as an overview of possibilities. Two weeks before you come, we will send several specific options for your consideration.

Project Categories

1) Ecological Light - watering, planting, trimming, sorting seeds, spreading wood chips.

2) Ecological Heavy - habitat restoration, tree planting, turning compost.

3) Building Light - building benches, fixing fences, signage, painting, general beautification & maintenance.

4) Building Heavy - building structures, installing fences & gates, solar installation, metal work & welding, etc.

5) Arts - fabrication, erecting sculpture, and more.

6) Animals - various activities with sheep, chickens, and bees.

7) Tasks with our other on-campus nonprofit partners.
