Wood Shop
Our woodshop is a place for skill development and job training, teaching people to grow a thing, fix a thing, build a thing. It is a path to supporting our site, our partners, and our regenerative mission at large.
To make this happen we need interested community members like you to pursue these amazing interests with us! Join our community and work on behalf of your community.
There are 2 main ways to stay engaged:
Email List: We’ll keep you posted on what’s going on.
Guild: A little more hands on, a lot like a club!

Our Program
Much of REAP’s Alameda campus has come out of our Wood Shop. In it, we teach people how to design, build, and fix.
Our wood shop has two key goals: (1) to support, maintain, and improve REAP’s physical campus (2) like with all of our programs, to develop and run workshops and curricula to empower people of all ages and backgrounds to grow a thing, build a thing, fix a thing. We aspire to empower underserved communities, women, LGBTQ folks, and other identities who are historically left out of acquiring woodshop’s technical skills.
We love to support our community’s creative ideas, but we must emphasize that our Wood Shop is intended for work in the context of our mission: providing ecological experiences and climate job pathways.
We plan to expand our Wood Shop by offering workshops, training, and certifications that individuals can take with them in their future careers.
