Our woodshop is a place for skill development and training. It is a path to supporting our site, our partners, and nature-based systems at large.
Our Wood Shop seeks to provide the resources and facilities to develop wood-shop skills and cultivate a hands-on experience for community members.
We plan to expand our Wood Shop through offering workshops, training, and certifications that individuals can take with them in their future careers.
At the center of our wood shop, like the rest of our Makerspace, is workforce development. REAP plans to develop workshops to educate all ages on power tool safety, creative skills, and projects, both on campus and individually. We aspire to empower underserved communities, women, LGBTQ folks, and other identities who are historically left out of acquiring woodshop’s technical skills.
Where we are now
