Regenerative Food Service

Through this course, students will learn the fundamentals of food service, including food safety, proper handling procedures, and kitchen operations. The course focuses on developing hands-on skills such as safe food preparation, sanitation, temperature control, and preventing contamination, while also covering nutrition, waste management, and regenerative approaches to food systems. We emphasize practical, industry-valued skills alongside pathways to jobs and certifications in the food service industry.

Course Length: 32 Hours

  • 16 hours in person on REAP’s Alameda Campus

  • 8 hours live with the instructor online

  • 8 hours independent, asynchronous work
