Regenerative Labs & Exhibits

Hydrology House

Through interactive exhibits and presentations, visitors to the REAP climate center can build their understanding of water movement, distribution, and management. Workshops will be held so individuals or groups can implement best practices for water management into their lives.

As climate change continues, hydrology systems will be severely impacted. In the Bay Area specifically, there are significant sanitation concerns due to damage from floods and reduced carrying capacity of waters receiving wastewater. Moreover, the sea level rise along the coast presents problems for coastal groundwater resources and increased salinity for drinking water.

At REAP, we seek to connect the community with interactive models of water cycles and educate on how the climate is impacting their operation. This can be achieved at REAP Climate center by making it accessible to the community to learn how important water is in our ecosystem. For instance how the San Joaquin river and delta are very important for how water moves through our region and also how more that half of California relies on this water for drinking water and sustainability.

Where we are now

We are in the early stages of development of our Hydrology House. We are inspired by the Bay Area Hydrology Model (BAHM) and are excited to brainstorm our plans with you as a community member, contributor, or possible partner. To learn more about how to contribute, check out our Get Involved tab and our Partners page.
