Skills and Activities
Mainly Campus Development and Stewardship (13 days)
Examples: Habitat Restoration, Fence Building, Weeding, Animal Care, and Volunteer Support.
Digital learning and videos for nature-based systems and ecosystem restoration (1 day)
Professional Development Workshops: resume writing, interview skills, job seeking support, and basic tax understanding (1 day)
Native Health Center Tour, History, and Services Overview: SF Capp Street Location (1 day)
Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
Most activities are outdoors.
Program Overview
• This internship is intended for individuals of Native ancestry. Tribal enrollment is not required.
• San Francisco and Alameda County Residents
• Ages 18 to 24
• Entry-level, no experience required
• 80 hours total via 5-hour days
• Enroll by June 2025 - or ASAP
• Location at REAP’s Climate Center: 2133 Tynan Avenue, Alameda, CA, 94501
• Location Native Health Center SF (1 Day): 160 Capp Street, San Francsico, CA, 94110
Stipend Details: 1099 Engagement
• $2,000 USD in 5 installments
• $100 upon onboarding, +$500 @ 30% complete (24 hours), +$600 @ 60% complete (48 hours), +$800 @ 100% complete (80 hours - Program completion),
• Hours: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm (or 3:30 if integrating lunch break).
• Flexible daily schedule options: Sunday through Thursday.
• Can be completed within 3 weeks. Must complete within 8 weeks.

This is sponsored by the San Francisco Office of Economic and Workforce Development and the Native American Health Center. The program is occurring at the REAP Climate Center with staff support from Pacific Coast Community Services.
